Lumisse's 2013 Summary of Art

It's that time of year again!

Overall: It doesn't look as eclectic as last year's meme did, which makes me happy. I still can't say that I've really found my style yet, though. My biggest obstacles when drawing has actually been facial anatomy and skin tone. Still don't quite get either of them but I think I'm getting there. Next year, I hope I'll be better at both and then hopefully I can start to introduce a bit more variety into my stuff (wow, that's incredibly specific.) I also hope I can do more full illustrations next year (like in Feb. and April!). ^^ A few notes.

Jan.: I remember shading this one like crazy. But once I went to the final image, things became so that all the detailed shading was lost.

Feb.: My magnum opus. I haven't drawn anything that good for the rest of the year This has also generally been the most well-received of anything I've done.

April: This was pretty cool, I think! Just the anatomy is a bit iffy. The deadline for the contest was closing in, so I couldn't properly render the dragon :C

July: Okay, pretty much from this point on in the year, Hetalia took over my life. haha. Even now. Too bad the fandom has such a bad reputation... (another thing that is too bad is that I came in really, really late... but I guess its not as bad as my friend who joined the Dr. Who fandom just a month ago.)

Oct.: A WIP I made and I never had the intention to finish it. Ever. 

Nov.: This was really fun! I hope I can do more stuff like that in the future. 

Onto the new year, and I hope for tons of improvement (drawing/other arts and life) in 2014!
